You see, there are many different types of CBD tinctures. Most of them taste terrible and usually green or brown in color. This is because these types of CBD tinctures have not been dewaxed during the hemp extraction process.

CBD Extra Strength Gel Ingredients
- Cannabidiol (CBD)
- Curcumin (Turmeric)
- And Mangifera
Curcumin is the active molecule in turmeric. Turmeric just happens to be the number one selling supplement in the world right now. With almost all turmeric being cultivated in India, turmeric and curcumin have been part of the Ayurvedic medical traditions of India for thousands of years. It just so happens that curcumin is part of the all-natural water-soluble CBD technology we use. Traditionally, curcumin has poor bioavailability in the human body. Most turmeric and curcumin products include piperine to help with the absorption of curcumin because it is so valuable to the body. With our water-soluble CBD technology, we also convert the solubility of curcumin and all of our other natural ingredients.
We like to refer to saffron as the “gold” of the plant world. You may think of curcumin because of the color but saffron has gold hues as well. The price is saffron is what makes it the gold standard. Saffron is the most expensive herb in the whole world. Originating from Greece, saffron has been used for libido enhancement, improvement of memory, and boost mood. Saffron is full of beneficial molecules including safranal, kaempferol, crocin, and crocetin. In addition to supporting all the benefits discovered by the ancient Greeks, saffron is still found helpful in supporting mood, memory, learning ability, and even acting as a neuroprotectant.
Ginger really needs no introduction from us because ginger is one of the most popular and successful superfoods in the world. It is one of the healthiest and (depending on who you ask) one of the most delicious the root of the ginger plant is what is most commonly used. It can be ground up, dried, powdered, eaten fresh, juiced, or made into an essential oil. At CBD 2.0, we took ginger and had our Ayurvedic doctor combine it to make the best topical CBD for pain ever created. These uniquely beneficial properties found in ginger come from the gingerol molecule, the main bioactive compound. Ginger has been greatly studied and the benefits are too many to list. If you have some time, do some research and discover all the good that ginger can do for you.
Another ancient Ayurvedic herb, ashwagandha is also from India, the Middle East, and parts of Africa. Ashwagandha comes from the evergreen family of shrubs. People have found this plant to be so useful because they can use multiple parts of the plant including the root and fruit of ashwagandha. In fact, they are also known as Indian ginseng and winter cherry respectively. Ayurvedic practitioners have been using ashwagandha to help maintain optimal health in addition to boosting energy and supporting the reduction in stress.
Known as Holy Basil, tulsi comes from India and other parts of Southeast Asia. Tulsi is an adaptogenic herb which is a group of plants that have been shown to help the body adapt to stress. Tulsi is full of other beneficial elements including eugenol, ursolic acid, rosmarinic acid, apigenin, lutein, and ocimumosides A & B. It appears that tulsi was the obvious choice then for our ancient ancestors who used this powerhouse herb to aid in the reduction of stress and anxiety and help fight off fatigue.
Magnesium is so important to the body because it is the fourth most abundant mineral found in the body. Even if you eat extremely healthy, you may not be getting enough magnesium. Studies show half of us get less than fifty percent of the magnesium we need. Magnesium is involved in hundreds of reactions that are constantly occurring in the body. The majority of our magnesium can be found in the skeletal system, but magnesium can also be found in muscles, soft tissues, and our blood and other bodily fluids.
One of the lesser-known powerhouse herbs, Fabaceae is still one of the best. Its lack of popularity might be due to the location of its environment. Do We Use Broad-Spectrum or Full-Spectrum in Our CBD Gel?
We are proud to say that we start with a full-spectrum raw CBD in the manufacturing of our CBD gel. This is one of the reasons why our CBD gel is the best CBD product on the market. Full-spectrum CBD oil gives you a more complete profile of other synergistic cannabinoids like cannabigerol (CBG), cannabinol (CBN), cannabichromene (CBC), and others. Plus, you get some terpenes as well, which are the oils that give all plants their aroma and certain flavor profiles. Most of these cannabinoids are what are considered minor cannabinoids. This means that they exist at much lower levels than CBD and even THC considering the strain or cultivar.
CBG, depending on what raw CBD you start with, will usually be present anywhere from zero to five percent. In most full-spectrum oils or CBD crude oils, CBG will usually be anywhere from one percent to three percent.
CBN is a mildly psychoactive cannabinoid found in most strains where THC is or was present. Also, it is important that cannabis is properly cured, stored, or aged for CBN to be present in any noticeable amount.
CBC is another rare cannabinoid that is often present in full and some broad-spectrum CBD oils. CBC is considered to be mildly psychoactive and non-intoxicating.
Cannabidiolic Acid (CBDa)
Before you ask about the little “a” next to the CBD, there are multiple forms of CBD. CBDa is CBD with its acid chain. While the acid chain is still attached, CBD is only available as CBDa with different properties and natural mechanisms for which it acts upon. Decarboxylation, or the process by which cannabinoids are heated, to remove the acid chain and convert CBDa to CBD. This does not mean that there is nothing good about CBDa. CBDa has been and is currently being researched for a multitude of things. In our experience, CBDa is great to have in topical CBD products. At CBD 2.0, we believe in the superior quality of whole plant extract versus CBD isolate. So, we prefer to use a full-spectrum CBD oil whenever possible, but also provide other options for people looking for a THC-free option.

CBD Gel FAQ’s
How much CBD gel should I take?
If you are just beginning to use CBD for the first time, then we recommend taking two servings twice per day. This is so you can prime your body with CBD and help support your body’s healthy functioning right away.
1 mL of CBD gel 1-2 times a day is the recommended serving for our Extra Strength CBD Gel. If you are dispensing onto your finger, a good serving of gel will cover the distance from your fingertip to your first crease in your finger.
Is CBD gel like a tincture?
No, CBD Gel is more advanced than your standard CBD oil tincture. However, our Extra Strength CBD Gel is taken orally and held under the tongue for the best results. This method helps the CBD gel be absorbed by the buccal gland in what is called sublingual absorption. This helps the CBD gel bypass the gastrointestinal tract.
What does Extra Strength CBD Gel taste like?
Many people love the taste of our CBD Gel because of the all-natural ingredients. Many of those ingredients taste delicious, such as Mangifera which is taken from mangos! Because of the curcumin which comes from turmeric, our CBD gel can also have a spicy flavor that many people love.
Can I overdose on CBD Extra Strength Gel?
No. No one has ever overdosed from a hemp-derived CBD product. In fact, our products have an extra level of security which keeps high amounts of CBD from building up in your system. Because of our water-soluble technology, any CBD and other active ingredients your body does not use are excreted through the urinary tract. This keeps CBD from building up in the fats of the body. At really high servings, some drowsiness has been reported in other CBD products.
Should I buy the CBD Extra Strength Gel or the CBD2.0 tincture?
If you are looking for a daily serving to help support a balanced Endocannabinoid System, then we would recommend the CBD 2.0 Tincture. If you are dealing with something serious, then we recommend our Extra Strength Gel. Ultimately the choice is yours.
CBD 2.0 applauds the findings included in US Government’s patent # US 6630507 “Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants.” Within this patent is the US Government’s assertion that Cannabidiol (CBD) has antioxidant properties.
